The fourteen checks

SEO

Every keyword's real search volume, difficulty and cost-per-click — and where you actually rank for it — plus who overlaps you and the terms they win that you don't.

Check 05 of 14.

What happens

What you rank for, how hard those words are, what your competitors rank for that you do not, and how much search volume sits behind each. Also classifies the business's own structure (single_location / multi_location / hq_brand / franchise) BEFORE deciding how many locales to check — as of 2026-08-21 that classifier reads the reviews leg's domain-verified Google Business locations (via the pull's entity anchor) as well as the site's own URL shape, so a brand with several verified storefronts is no longer called single-location because its website happened to carry no /location/ pages. See detectBusinessType in src/collectors/seo-engine.mjs. THE BOUNDARY WITH search: see that leg's own doc entry above.

The facts a reader needs

Language modelNone.
Cost$0.22–$0.34 per pull
Depends onNone.
When it is absentTraffic estimates are modeled from keyword volume and a click-through curve, not measured from your analytics. The report says which. Three things a competitor's panel shows cannot be bought from this data at any price and are absent rather than approximated: traffic share as a percentage, a count of pages Google has indexed, and a library of competitors' ad creative. The two-year history, the positioning map and the 500-term keyword gap exist but belong to a deeper setting than a standard report buys.

Who supplies it

  • DataForSEO — Search, SEO, reviews and backlinks. DataForSEO supplies the search data for paid reports and the beta weekly search check; its AI lanes stay parked, and the free read never calls it.
  • Public web sources (no account, no key) — Everything below runs with no key at all, and always has.
